Our on-line community of Canadian homeschooling parents decided we wanted to do *something* for people in Afghanistan. We made a Why We Homeschool Quilt two years ago, which we now mail back and forth across the country to use at various homeschool events. It seemed the right thing to now make a quilt on the theme of Women & Peace, and then raffle it off and send the proceeds to RAWA (Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan) for them to use in their work educating girls and women both in Afghanistan and in Afghani refugee camps. To buy a raffle ticket, or print tickets to sell to friends, family and fellow humans, click on the raffle button, print out a bunch of tickets, sell them and send the filled in tickets and a cheque to:

Quilt 4 Afghanistan #15 119 Croft st. Victoria B.C. v8v2e7

If you would like to buy tickets on-line using PayPal (http://www.paypal.com), you can send an email with your name , address and phone number to hs_ca_quilt@yahoo.com (we'll fill in a hard copy ticket for you to enter the draw) or you can print and mail a filled in ticket to the the snailmail address above (with either a printed copy of your PayPal payment, or a cheque or money order made out to Quilt 4 Afghanistan)

To see the individual quilt pieces, click on the small ones and they will
come up bigger, along with the quilter's musings on their work.
